Why do I love breakfast so much? I don’t know. Maybe it’s the fact a bagel and hot coffee is the most perfect, timeless meal in the universe. Or maybe it’s because I grew up in the 1990s, a decade when cartoons, sugar, and advertising-to-children joined forces to create a perfect storm of brainwashing cereal commercials.
Honestly– and I’m not just saying this– I can’t think of a better way to kick off your Sunday than by enjoying a nice breakfast while reading something charming and hilarious, like a cartoon newsletter of some sort. So step aside, brunch! See you later (in the day), lunch and dinner! It’s time for a ToonStack breakfast.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Unless you’re Benjamin Button, in which case it’s the least important meal of the day. I think that’s how it works. Honestly I’m just guessing here, I’ve never read a damn book in my life.

Isn’t it the sign of an emotionally resilient person (or egg) to interpret a negative trait as a positive asset? I suppose this is true so long as the practice doesn’t cross over into the unsavory realm of denial and delusion. When is an optimistic spin helpful and self-protective, and when does it lull you into a false sense of self satisfaction that prevents you from facing the hard truths of reality, as ego-bruising as that may be? Yet another question whose answer can only be self-determined and sometimes makes me want to relinquish all personal responsibility to the nearest omnipotent deity in the sky.

Eggs are fragile. Artists are fragile too. Is that too on the nose? God, I’m a terrible artist.

I like my coffee like I like my Buster Pointdexter songs: hot hot hot!
