Flaking Out!
Jason here. Just making a note to myself to come up with a great intro. The topic is FLAKINESS. And boy will I put some effort into coming up with the perfect introduction. I’m gonna think really hard about this, and it’s going to be hilarious and poetic. That’s what I will be doing. I’m putting a reminder on my phone right now. Do reminders still work when you’re on DO NOT DISTURB mode? Why does my phone sort of automatically go into DO NOT DISTURB mode now? I’m gonna check on that. I’ll do that soon. Right after writing an intro for this topic.

All jokes aside, someone please invite me to your wedding.

I don’t think I’m flaky, per se, but I am restless. Does that count?* My sun, moon, and rising signs are all Gemini, which means, as I understand it, that I’m absolutely cursed and certainly a commitaphobe. …but FUN.
*Editor’s note: It does not count because restless is different from flaky. However, by doing something that is different from the premise you are, in fact, flaking. So in a meta way I’m gonna allow it.

I’m sorry, but how can you expect me to come up with a good cartoon for this topic when I’m doing it at the last possible second?
Jason Adam Katzenstein
Really should have put this one into our inaugural post, but I’ve just gotten around to it.

So, I think this says it all. Let me put it this way: no one has ever regretted reminding me of an upcoming deadline, event, or important departure/arrival. Once, in Paris, France, I actually misread 4/3 for April 3rd instead of the 4th of March for the registration date of my junior year of university. I arrived that morning ready with a snack and a book to read while I waited in line and thought, smugly, “Wow! Nobody’s here yet? I must be early, heheheheheh!” Luckily I had a reputation (as a teacher’s pet, okay?), and my fondest teachers rallied for me to be allowed to register a month late. Not begrudging my Latin teacher a few earnest laughs at his adorably terrible jokes did pay off.
